If You Cook Only One Thing This Week

Morning! Bonjour! Ohayō!

My apologies for my absence lately from the inboxes of you, my treasured readers, but I’ve been, and will be, traveling for Spring. I’ve recently been to London and Paris and tomorrow I leave for Japan!

This week we have one of my favorite English recipes, Her Majesty’s very own “drop scones.” It has a place of honor in my first cookbook. Then we travel back in time to 1971 Japan for an easy home cook’s take on Sukiyaki, and follow that with an Air France in-flight cookbooklet spectaculaire from 1961. Don’t miss that one, it is fantastique!

What a lineup. Turn up the heat, and let’s all eat! — Brian Theis
